Native to the Rahkine Yoma Mountains in western Mayanmar, the Yoma Danio is found only in small forest streams. These fish vary in coloration but most specimens exhibit a reflective silver body with one or more pigment stripes on the caudal fin and a central stripe on the anal fin. Some Yoma Danios also have white or silver spot-like markings on their flanks and bodies.
