Yellow Lab

Yellow Lab

This species of fish is endemic to Lake Malawi in East Africa and is also known by the names Caeruleus, Yellow Prince and Blue Streak Hap. Several of the common names for these fish are derived from their bright yellow coloration. The yellow coloration typically extends to the fins, though the dorsal and anal fins may be tipped in black in some specimens. This species exists in several color morphs, including the Electric Yellow variant which is the most popular color morph of this species. Though the yellow color morph is most popular in the aquarium trade, the white and blue morphs are more common in the wild.
