Having been first imported to Europe in 2000, this species of paradise fish is still relatively new in the aquarium hobby. The Red Back Paradise Fish is similar in appearance to the common Paradise Fish but its head is more pointed and has no prominent stripes. The Red Back Paradise Fish has a reddish body with more intense red coloration along the back. These fish are found in coastal Vietnam and in parts of Thailand.
