Also known as the Glass Bloodfin and the Red-finned Characin, the Bloodfin Tetra is a very hardy and long-lived fish making it an excellent beginner’s fish. The Bloodfin Tetra originates from the Rio Paraná drainage in southern Brazil, Paraguay, and northern Argentina where it inhabits streams, rivers and tributaries.
